Wow, it truly feels as if it has been ages since I have written on my blog here. After taking a scroll through all my old blog posts, after looking through all these significant events and thoughts that God had insipred me to write, I just see His absolute beauty.
It makes me sad to see that I have stopped this blog for so long. When I was so previously active with this blog, I was so much more aware of God’s presence in my life, what He was doing for others, myself, and what He was calling me for. Recently, I’ve noticed myself becoming more unaware of how much He is actually present in my everyday life. Frankly, I’ve gotten so wrapped up in my own world lately, that I have not notice how much I’ve been lost.
Clearly, no one’s relationship with God is purely perfect, nor is it always the same. But when I first noticed a change in my relationship with God, I believe I became discouraged and stopped what was so unconsciously good for me.
This next year, I really want to change, start writing again. I want to be the beautiful soul I once was, who always kneeled and bowed to the Lord with a serving heart. He never left me, it was I that changed.

1 Peter 1:3-25

Praise to God for a Living Hope
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Be Holy
13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear. 18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,

25 but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Forgiveness: From Black and White to Color

It’s hard. After having the wonderful privilege to be so close to the Lord, and then to suddenly take an off-road excursion makes it hard to go back. It’s painful to look back and to see how lucky I was to be so close to the Father at one point, and how I became selfish and decided to go my own way. I know we all have those dry patches within our relationships with God, but I believe this one was more of my own repercussion. Which saddens me. I mean, I know of a King who saved me, He chose to die for me, and He also decided to give me life, and only wants me to carry out His will. He conquered death, and He only asks one thing of me: to carry out His will.

Something that can be so simple, but as human we can find it hard because the majority of time, that means going against our selfish, sinful and narcissistic behavior. But over time, if we keep following Him, our behavior will begin to change and we will walk more like our King. Our actions, thoughts, and words will reflect Him. It becomes one of the most beautiful things a person can go through. “I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart” (Psalms 40:8).

But when you go against this, the Father and His will, the pain and guilt overwhelms our confidence in asking for His forgiveness. It gets to where we get so uncomfortable, we get so used to being our own kings and queens that we forget how to come back and submit to who is our true and holy Creator. But, honestly it is probably one of the best choices we could ever do, is to come to the Father, be real with Him, and ask to be purified and for forgiveness. He loves us, and no matter how much we screw up, even if we feel we have really failed or just feel completely far from Him, He is there with arms wide open.

That is the best offer ever. Forgiveness. That is what the Lord gives us freely, we have just have to ask and accept Him within out hearts.

Our Lord is so great!

And receiving His forgiveness is like bring color to a black and white photo. It’s indescribable and has a great refreshment that reminds you of God’s mercy, grace, love and kindness.

Isaiah 43:3-7

For I am the LORD your God,
   the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
   Cush[a] and Seba in your stead.
4 Since you are precious and honored in my sight,
   and because I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you,
   nations in exchange for your life.
5 Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
   I will bring your children from the east
   and gather you from the west.
6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
   and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar
   and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
7 everyone who is called by my name,
   whom I created for my glory,
   whom I formed and made.”

Treading on Holy Ground

I really need more reminders of how I am treading on Holy Ground and how I am called to be Holy. I have to admit, I have a tendency to forget how much I am supposed to be representing Christ who has captured my heart. That my actions speak sometimes louder than my words.

I need to soften my heart and surround myself with constant prayer.

Lord, You are so good. You are the one I delight in.

Take all of me Father.

Colossians 3:12-17

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Plans With Unsure Answers

I have a plans.

I don’t have all the answers.

But I am trusting and praying in God, whom I love and place all my confidence in.

Psalm 27:7-9

7 Hear my voice when I call, LORD;
   be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
   Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me,
   do not turn your servant away in anger;
   you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
   God my Savior.

 Mark 11:4-11

 4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,

   “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”[b]

10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”

   “Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

 11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Come Burn In Me

I love it when I am just on fire for the Father. I delight in His every action, word and praise. He is amazing and I simply cannot explain how much I desire to carry out His will in my life, and to seek Him with all my heart. Among pain and hard times, He is there with me and He is the most center of my life. I exalt His name on high so that my name may be shared by Him in Heaven. He is so Holy. I want to feel what His heart feels, I love Him and yearn for the Lord more and more everyday.

He is so awesome. A true Blessing.

And I invite Him in.

Come burn in me Holy Spirit.

Delight upon me Lord.

Shine the way, oh God.

For you are forever honorable and forever lovable.

My love for you is beyond measures Jesus.

Thank you for your grace and mercy.

Deuteronomy 8:3

He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

Prayer. Words. Sleep.

So last night I had a lot on my mind. My life has been currently eaten by homework and the stress level of that is quite high. Every night this week I have come home and drank a huge cup of coffee and just hit the books working. But along with that, I had friends on my mind and I just stopped everything after a while and prayed. I prayed for a long time.

Soon enough it was about time for me to go to bed. I opened my blinds to look at the full moon and beautiful stars and laid on my bed and just thanked God for such a beautiful sight and all His creation. Then I came to the realization, I’m never going to get to sleep tonight because a) the moon is full and I never sleep well when it is full, and b) I had coffee not too long ago. I’m not very good sleeper in general but every once in a while I will take some thing like a small tab of Benadryl to get to sleep and that night I reached over to grab it, but I just heard “No, you don’t need it, I’ll take care of it.” My immediate though was “are you sure?” and I heard once more “Yes, I’ll take care of it.” And so I trusted Him, because to be honest I had nothing to lose but sleep (which I needed) but faith and trust is more important than that. So did I sleep well? Better than usual and I felt rested today. Ah I love it when God speaks.

He is so great and this affirms my trust so much more.

Psalm 91

 1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
       will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

 2 I will say [b] of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
       my God, in whom I trust.”

 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare
       and from the deadly pestilence.

 4 He will cover you with his feathers,
       and under his wings you will find refuge;
       his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

 5 You will not fear the terror of night,
       nor the arrow that flies by day,

 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
       nor the plague that destroys at midday.

 7 A thousand may fall at your side,
       ten thousand at your right hand,
       but it will not come near you.

 8 You will only observe with your eyes
       and see the punishment of the wicked.

 9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
       even the LORD, who is my refuge-

 10 then no harm will befall you,
       no disaster will come near your tent.

 11 For he will command his angels concerning you
       to guard you in all your ways;

 12 they will lift you up in their hands,
       so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

 13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
       you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

 14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
       I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

 15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
       I will be with him in trouble,
       I will deliver him and honor him.

 16 With long life will I satisfy him
       and show him my salvation.”
